Reaffirmation.

There’s nothing wrong with who I am, no matter what anybody else tells me.

I finally reached that breakthrough this summer after struggling my entire life to reach it. Then I come to Jordan, and the confidence I’ve built begins to break down again.

I’ve heard my entire life that I’m just not that smart. I admit it, I don’t come off that way. I have no common sense. But I try really hard to make up for it in school and in work. I get good grades and really try and dazzle my coworkers.

I just work so hard for everything that I have.

So fuck you. I may not be that smart, but I’m smart enough to know my intelligence, to push its boundaries, and to know how to educate myself.

I am who I am. So deal with it.
